Statement of Purpose
The Natoma/SOMA Neighborhood Association has been working in the South of Market for more than ten years to insure the well being and quality of life for our residents. To accomplish this the Association has been a strong political and active component for our residents, businesses, and CBO's in the South of Market by doing door to door research, surveying, and speaking on the issues that most effect their lives. The South of Market hosts more non-profits, affordable housing complexes, transitional housing, and support housing than any other community in San Francisco. We have more clubs and entertainment destinations than any other community. Still we are able to cope with every aspect of the issues and still become one of the most sought after business and new home production of any area of this city or any other. We are proud that our residents receive first chance at housing and jobs in SOMA. We have more improvements happening, with the input and assistance of our ! entire community as well as a strong voice in matters that effect the lives of our residents.
